While the position may be identical, the title can vary considerably. Titles vary from Financial Director or Financial Controller in one company to Company Accountant or Finance Manager in another. Some are commercially biased whose concern is to strategise and forward plan whilst others are focused on the hands-on financial aspects of month ends and reporting deadlines. Typically you will be qualified with ACA, CIMA, ACCA or CPA.
