A General Manager is responsible for the overall management of a company and usually has a management team including Finance, Operations, Sales, Marketing, IT and HR reporting into them. General Management roles can often report into a Board of Directors or a Managing Director. The role can also be known as Country Manager or Business Manager. In most cases a General Manager will have gained considerable experience across a broad range of disciplines and will have strong strategic vision.
